If you seriously don't think you need a license electrician and inspection, you better check with your home insurance. For insurance, I also recommended getting an inspection done with certificate Last but not least, you best to get a licensed electrician to install and run wires for you. Secondly, I am not 100% sure but best to check if you need a concrete foundation on this. now don't get me wrong.people are doing this without it but if your neighbor doesn't like you. The bylaws says any above ground jacuzzi or swimspa needs a permit. Just a fw things cuz I went through this in vaughan. My electricity cost is like $20 when it's sitting idle for a month and then a dollar or two for chemicals. That electricity cost will depend on how often you're using it. (I called Costco a few years ago and they confirmed there were no returns.) Although this is not stated, Costco does NOT accept returns for "installed" items. I would recommend a SPA if you can afford it and if you have the room. The Cover was changed after a few years as it disintegrated ($200) and we had 2 Warranty service calls for minor issues with the ozonator and an element that corroded. We didn't use other chemicals like PH, etc.) Running costs (Outside in BC) were about $70 / month (Bromine + Electricity + Anti Scale. Electrician was $700 (For a special breaker, electric cable, hookup and permit) We purchased a Costco Hot Tub (Aruba Spa) about 20 years ago and it was Fantastic. We had also already built the deck around where the pad for the hot tub would be and my husband had run the cable we would need to wire it.This is an entry level SPA for 6 people (if you are 3 feet tall) so let's call it a 4 person tub if you don't want to play Footsies. The Aquaterra hot tub/spas sold by Costco are made to order and we received an email approximately 20 days after we ordered it, advising it had shipped. We therefore placed our order to coincide with our backyard being ready for the hot tub. Through the ordering process we found out that when you order this particular hot tub (maybe others as well), from Costco online, the “curbside delivery in 10-40 business days” is very accurate. Not only was the size and price right, we loved the unique look and shape of the tub and we knew shopping from Costco would mean there was a good warranty and return policy if necessary. We settled on an Aquaterra Spa, available on the Costco Canada website. We always do our research and being BIG Costco shoppers, we of course included them in our search.
